If you hadn’t noticed us banging on about it for the past few weeks, it’s motherfuckin’ Warped Tour this weekend and we’re prepping our livers already. But we need something to do while we neck Jägerbombs and try our best not to peak to early – so we might as well watch some bands! There’s loads of sick bands on over the weekend but these are the ones you really need to catch. Obviously there’s the bigboys like Shikari, Parkway and Rise Against but you need to warm up to the headliners somehow, right?
These guys were one of the highlights of last year’s Warped and we can pretty much guarantee they’re going to nail it again this year. If you want to lose your neon shit to rave-metal (and a bonkstown Prodigy cover) then watch these guys. We love them.
Lonely The Brave
Late additions to the line-up but no less awesome, these guys are destined for big things in 2014 and we’re standing firmly behind them. They sound like the new Biffy and who can argue with that?
If you picked up FRONT 188 (which you bloody well should have) you might recognise these guys cos we threw an arseload of paint at them. Warped is famed for its pop-punk and Neck Deep are one of the hottest bands in the scene right now. Check ‘em out.
The Hype Theory
Another band we threw a load of paint at and another one of the new breed of UK pop-punk that’s going to storm it next year. And they’re DJing our afterparty so you know they’re a lot of fun.
While She Sleeps
Chances are that if you’re a fan of FRONT then you’re a fan of While She Sleeps. We’ve been following these guys since the beginning and they always tear it the fuck up live. If you’re not in the pit for The North Stands For Nothing then you’re doing it wrong.
After what seems like a fucking age, these guys finally dropped their debut album this year and it’s proper party music. If you need an excuse to down a pint and bounce around, this is it.
The Wonder Years
One of the bands tipped to steal Warped this year, the pop-punk heroes dropped their fourth album earlier this year and it’s still a rager. Another one to dance your knees off to.
Yeah, we threw paint and these guys too. We like doing that. But we also like the grime/metal crossover merchants Hacktivist who go hard as a motherfucker live. And their cover of Paris is off the twat mental.
Slated to explode in 2014, the Decade boys are gearing up to drop their long-awaited debut early next year and we strongly recommend you get your arse down to see these guys before they blow up.
Realistically you should know how good Billy Talent are live cos they’ve been coming over here for years, but we thought it was worth reminding you how much fun Try Honesty is when you’re blitzed on that bottle of vodka you snook in.
