IDW are bringing out a new Mars Attacks comic, based on the cult 1960s Topps trading card series (that led to one of the 1990s’ weirdest films and Tim Burton’s oddest misfire). They’re creating a whole new universe within it, apparently, and this preview makes it seem like it’ll be loads of fun. It’s been written by Chew’s John Layman, which bodes well, and the Mars Attacks aliens are pretty much the coolest-looking aliens from anything ever (followed by the Alien alien, then ALF, then Gilbert the peanut butter alien). Download the ten-page preview PDF HERE, and then buy the comic from a damn shop – there are 55 different covers, all showing a different card from the original card series. MADNESS.
